The food was awesome so was the service and ambience. The mutton sabji was as tender as u get n paneer punjabi was nice n spicy. the rotis were a bit over cooked like crispy other wise even the veg biryany was giving u the authentic biryani taste.
The staff was smiling and serving taking care to refill the plates wen it gets empty before we ask them to. All this when our dinner extended till 10.45 is comendable .

I have ordered food from this restaurant plenty of times and the food quality has stayed the same. The orders get delivered pretty fast (min 15mins, max 45 mins, avg 25 mins) to jp nagar. I have never visited the restaurant in person. So i cannot judge the ambience, etc.. However, i would definitely recommend for home delivery. ”

Its an unforgettable experience having a dinner after shopping in Shopper's stop. Its almost 9.45pm me and my girlfriend went to this restaurant. We have to stand there for 15 mins for the table. But people who came after us were allowed seats. Its too frustrating and enquired with a supervisor who took our names. But we are advised that its a table of 4 or more since we are a couple we need to wait for just 2 more minutes. But i really dont understand how many minutes are there in their 2 minutes. we finally got a table after a total waiting of 25 mins.
The waiters had gud costume but no respect. They really dont care to hear you even when you see some guys and call them. I had to wait for 5 mins to get a salt and pepper. After losing patience got one from another table by myself. The quality of the food is not upto the price they have. Its too expensive. We are made to wait for long time to get the food served. Its just 15-25 mins. we had our first order. Worst thing is they kept the finger bowl before we complete our half of the food. More over they never bothered to ask whether you require any more to order (like deserts etc...) worst customer service. It felt like they are thowing u out on your neck...
I do not recommend this for any couples... bcos ur date will be spoiled. better try barbque nation or dominos nearby this restaurant in outer ring road... ”

Bloody ill mannered people working there, i applied for home delivery thru this site justeat.in, after smtime I got the call from their delivery boy to confirm the address. He asked about the nearest landmark, told him about the nandavana park in Mico layout, whyich is not even 1 km from the restaurant and he doesnt know about it, he hung up the call and before hanging up he abused me in kannada, could tel by the tone. good for them dat i do not ustand this language. And now, neither going to use this site as they are careless about adding restaurants coz odr people also added their bad reviews regarding the resaturant's customer service, nor going to use this restaurant. ”

I used to visit this when it had recently opened (sometime in 2006)... 4 years down, after I am back to city thought of paying a visit again. To my horror, this restaurant has gone down the drains. Seems to be a typical case where owners let success get to their head. The service is pathetic - waiters are just not bothered to take your orders or even entertain any queries if food preparation is taking long. I had ordered for some biriyani and paneer dish along with Lassi. The lassi was smelling aweful. Had to bring to their notice and they replaced it. However, the quality of food has surely gone down quite a few notches. Don't think will give it a try in the near future again. ”

Good Punjabi khana:

Ordered food from Purabhi punjabi times many times, the experience is getting better and better. The food prepared at punjabi times is one of the best. They really serve some amazing punjabi khana. I used to order specially for dinner after coming from work, but this time i wished to visit the restaurant directly to check the quality and the ambiance. Ambiance was good and the service was even more better. The food came to my table within 15 minutes. The quality is one and the same comparing to delivery also. Among the dishes my favourite is punjabi chicken curry, railway chicken & makki ki roti. I always order the same. Totally purabhi punjabi times is a great punjabi restaurant to visit. If you are looking for a good punjabi food to be delivered than punjabi times at Bannerghatta road is the best option. ”

Guys purabhi punjabi times is bit costly but the food served her is really awesome. Totally a value for money. I stay in arekere. This restaurant is in bannerghatta road next to shoppers stop. Had been to punjabi times before last week. Ambience is not that great, But the food served here does the talking. The starters cost you more than 180 + , but the quality rocks and the quantity also good. Among the starters i liked their murg galauti kabab, In curries punjabi chicken curry was awesome. even in breads masala kulcha tasted good. They can improve on their ambience. Next time when i visit i will surely try their dhabey da murg. If you want to have some great punjabi food purabhi punjabi times is the better option. Hope so they keep the quality the same for the days to come. You can try their option of home delivery also to enjoy the meals at home from punjabi times. ”

But things have changed now, we ordered for a home delivery through hungryzone a month back and the delivery was quite late and food quality has gone down a lot. There was no butter in Butter Naan and Dum Aloo Kashmiri which is supposed to be one of my fav was pathetic.I don't remember the other curry that I had but it was quite ok, not so tasty. Overall wastage of time and money. ”

A Punjabi Restaurant that serve pathetic Sarson Da Saag, supposed to be a signaure dish of Punjab:
“
When a climbed up the stairs and reached the main door I saw a huge amount of people waiting to get in. Wow. Must be very popular I thought. But when we finally got to enter after 15 to 20 minutes and were shown to our table, the truth sank in. I had to wait another 5 minutes to get the menu and another 15 minutes for someone to take my order. By the time we had placed our orders it was a good 45 to 50 minutes from the time we reached to restaurant.
We ordered Tandoori Chicken, Paneer Cheese Kabab, Sarson Da Saag and Makki Di Roti. The food arrived after a good 30 minutes. The Tandoori Chicken was very good and succulent. The Paneer Cheese Kabab was also quite good. The Makki Di Roti was ok. But the Sarson da Saag was horrible. Bland, tasteless and tasting as if it was over loaded with Aata (Yes, wheat flour is added towards the end to give body to the Saag, but this tasted as if it had more Aata than Saag). We could not finish the Saag. For desert we ordered Badami Rabdi. This seems quite ok, though not great.
Pros : Tandoori Chicken, Superb Air conditioning and seating
Cons : Bad service. None of the waiters nor the Maitre De have a smile. They behave as if they are doing you a favour. Never, I repeat never try the Sarson Da Saag. Too expensive and definitely and we did not get our money's worth. ”

I am really very angry for making a decision to ask Briyani from Punjabi Times. I can say that this was the most awful experience for me. I ordered both Chicken and mutton Briyani but both of them were junk. Really disgusting Briyani...I never hasd such a bad Briyani in my Life. I love briyani but today I really got pissed off with Punjabi times briyani.
In both the briyanis I found rice quality was so bad. Pieces were very bad and very small. I found only 2-2 small pieces in bot h the briyani. It is not all about pieces, quality was disguisting...Really very bad experience for me. ”

Ok - here's the bad news: The waiters can be SNOOTY - like SNOOTY as in "I work in the best restaurant and town and even as a waiter earn more than you!" Snooty! There were so many unoccupied tables with the "Reserved" plate on them... who would walk in at 3pm when that is the last hour they take your orders??? The chairs and cushions are scruffy/dirty. Two seaters are cramped! Music too LOUD.
Good news: The food is good. The kababs were yummy. The biryani left me licking my lips. Service time isn't bad either.
I don't mind paying for the food. But i totally mind tipping the waiters!! ”

Forgettable Experience @ Punjabi Times !:
“
Me and my wife had a complete forgettable experience @ Purabhi Punjabi Times - a total anti-climax of one's expectations after seeing the ambience and decor. But to tell the truth, those two are the only things worth mentioning about the restaurant - becase the food is way below average and to top it all, the staff is utterly apathetic to the diners.
We had to remind the waiter twice to get us the salt & pepper sprinklers during the starters. In the main course, the order was taken for a green peas-pulav - without verifying that the kitchen was running short of rice. After waiting for 20 mins and constant reminders (half-way in our dinner) to waiters, finally we got the news that there was no rice so would we please like to order some extra rotis. Helplessly, we had to - but for that too we had to keep waiting for good 10 mins. But that's not all !
The best of the treatment for us was reserved towards the end of our main course. No sooner we had finished with our finger-bowl, the bill was pushed across our table - without bothering to ask about any desserts. Not that I was gonna have it after all this, but this basic lack of courtsey was too much to handle. When the restaurant manager was informed about all this experience, initially the amiable-looking manager turned totally defensive and was quick to retort -- which for me was the confirmation of the below-the-belt standards of Purabhi Punjabi Times.
For me, the food was over-priced compared to its quality, service and the staff is pathetic and the only saving grace is the ambience and an attempt to create the Punjabi decor. Not worth if you are looking for an overall good dining experience. ”

above average for below average:

I've been to this place once with my family, and it was much below its hype and my expectations. The ambience was fine, but the food was average and very over priced....i guess their price list is more influenced by the air conditioning, ambience and every other factor except food. The service is extremely slow and the staff is surely not trained enough to deal with a full house. Also, they don't even have baby chairs for my 2 year old son.
I woud rather advice a restaurant named 'White horse' near 15th cross JP Nagar against punjabi times.....for the simple reason it offers better food at lesser price....the only issue is that the ambience is not fancy.
Hope it was helpful.
Cheers,
Saurabh ”
