Hi, Had the pleasure of hosting a party at Khansama recently and was quite amazed with the variety that they have. The food was perfectly balanced with the right amount of spice.. they had a good choice of desserts too.
Full marks. Keep up the good work guys and hope to dine again there soon. ”

I had been to this place on a Sunday buffet. Food does not have variety, Ambience was clumsy. Service was not up to the mark. Only one buffet stalls for around 200 people. Long queue for food and service takes ages to complete...No variety...in nonveg, The chicken curry was awful....Mutton tested like rubber.....Its average buffet..In terms of food offered it’s not value for money....stay away from this place ”

In Bangalore, I always like to eat at Khansama. They have excellent buffet at reasonable price. They have large number of items in both veg and non-veg category.Variety of salads, desserts, snacks to make your lunch a great experience. The food is excellent, the service is outstanding, the ambience is out of place.Right place to entertain guests. The food is expensive but excellent in taste. On weekends it is advisable to reserve in advance to avoid long waiting period.

Me and my wife visited this restaurant in UB City, Bangalore,on the first weekend of 2011. Booking was done in advance and this is a must if you are visiting on a weekend. This is my rating on a scale of 10 for Khansama.
Taste - 6
Ambience-9
Service-6
Value for money-6
The food is at best - average. Though the ambience is impressive, the food does not meet expected standards. For visiting a speciality restaurant, the first expectation is food which captures your heart. Ambience is something which comes after this. The chicken and paneer starter was good, but not something which captures your imagination. The dum biryani was also good, but not something worth a repeat visit. These are the only items in the whole buffet, that we somewhat -liked. everything else was sort of okie-dokie.
Now coming to service, I believe that serving starters and soup on table should be an accepted standard, as I have seen them doing in Cafe Masala (belongs to the same group). This place has a strange system of serving only the soup to table and also offering a repeat !! Moreover, the service people roams around in close proximity to your table, which at least, makes me very uncomfortable at the time of taking food, whatever good the intention may be There are other ways to keep a tab on customers' needs, rather than to stand on their neck when they are taking food.
By the way, my wife took a mocktai, which was really cool.
When we were taking the dessers, they suddenly came and kept the bill on my table - an attitude which I did not like. To make matter worse, the service people were coming in rounds and picking up the bill book to see if we had paid. However, this they were doing this on behest of an oversmart floor manager and we were not the only sufferer. When we were stepping out, I found the reason for this - a sizable crowd was waiting outside. But my point is, if you are running a buffet lunch on any weekend, you have to manage the crowd in some other ways, that to create a situation to drive out the people inside. Everyone has their own right to take time for their food and thats expected in a buffet.
If anyone is thinking that I am a biased reviewer, let me assure you that I am an admirer of VJN group's restaurants and I have visited them not only in Bangalore, but also in Hyderabad. KHANSAMA needs a facelift on the food taste and service area very soon.
Overall, a food which is very average and to add to the issue, attitude problem of the people managing the floor. ”

I went to this restaurant on the 23rd of August as it was my friend's birthday and it was his treat. We choose the buffet and should say the spread was excellent (Starters). The ambiance was awesome and the waiters are an asset to the restaurant. After the meal we decided to cut the cake that we had got for our friend and the waiter who saw this came to our table and took away the cake a few minutes later he brought it back on a nice cake platter and also started playing the birthday song on the audio system my friend was totally surprised. The manager also came to our table and offered to take our pictures it was a very nice experience. The only suggestion I have is, please include non-veg biryani in the main course. ”

I came across this khansama restaurant quite by chance and took an instant liking to this place. So far , I have been quite frequent to Khansama in the past couple of months mainly on corperate gatherings. I have been with family as well everytime had a darn good experience. Last week I had
been with my very close friends to Khansama restaurant.
We did not have any issue regarding the parking as they had valet parking which was quiet a luxury for me. Immediately when we reached there we got a warm inviting. We took a corner table. After this my companions rushed to the dessert table first and grabbed bowls of rabdi , jamoon and moong halwa and began stacking it neatly on our table.
gives no cause for complaint.

Expensive but good North Indian food:

Khansama is the king of great north Indian food. I went to Khansama restaurant with my friends on last month, and it is located at UB city, Bangalore. The fish fry at Khansama has got to be one of the better ones in town. And we had some starters also, pricey but yummy. Great food, great ambience, you have to come to Khansama restaurant to experience what good food and good service is actually all about. The rates for all dishes are quite expensive but the menu has excellent choice of food and I must compliment the BJN group for their amazing effort since the food there is awesome. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to all my friends. Because its worth trying and I am sure I will not disappoint anybody by doing so. Overall the atmosphere was excellant at khansama. Khansama has also got some mughlai dishes in their menu. I found the bread to be a little lacking but had a good time otherwise and will certainly go back. This is surely the right choice for a good tasty, north Indian food in Bangalore. Would be much happier if they introduce dinner buffet.

Nice buffet at khansama:
“
khansama is loacated inside ub city, vittal mallaya road very close to lavelle road, which is where I work. In my workplace, everyone is fond of khansama. My colleague talk a lot about khansama so last week on friday 6 of us decided to visit khansama during the lunch time. We booked our table through hungryzone.com for 6 of us. I was really excited to go to khansama because i had never been in there and had heard soo much about it.
On that friday we had booking at 12:30pm and we all got there by then. It took about 10 minutes to be seated by a very welcoming person. When we entered i couldn't stop myself to look arround. The ambiance was excellent. It appears very royal interior, nice paintings of Birbal, Akbar and several mughal emperors, very good furniture. The dining hall is really huge. The space between tables was very good. We couldn`t really hear what our neighbours on the next table (which was something i loved in khansama ). The music was just in right volume. The tables were copper plated water chalices and it was with matching plates and cutlery. Over all the ambiance of khansama is so royal we really felt like kings and queens dining in a huge palace.
Now about the food! Khansama is the place where you can expect good food. The non-veg and veg both starters were awesome. I had chicken kabab, some deep fried stuff consisting of fish and mutton it tasted really good, and so as the mushroom, potatoes and gobi. I dont really like soup but my colleagues forced me to have one so i tried the rasam chiken broth which was not too bad. The main course in khansama had 4-5 veg curries, 3-4 non-veg curries, indian breads, mutton biryani and regular veg biryani. I liked the mutton biryani and that chicken with gravy sauce was really yummy. And the dal makhni was really out standing. There was plain rice/ jeera rice and also curd rice which i didn't taste but it was looking good too. When we came to the dessert section we had already stuffed ourselves but we still ate :) .The dessert section in khansama had 4 flavors of ice creams, hot gulab jamoon, kheer, Bengali sweet, cake and the chocolate fountain. I loved that creamy, sugary kheer with loads of cashew nuts and raisins among all. They also served meetha pan at the end of it which was really awesome.
Over all the buffet in khansama was really amazing and more than i expected where each and every dish was yummy. I did really love being in khansama. I will love to visit khansama again may be next time with my family members...cheers!! ”

Hi guys I am lamba working at infosys. I must first congratulate Hungryzone for coming up with such an innovative idea for people like us. Now I am an active member of the site. So easily you can order the food online and make the booking done at the your favorite restaurants just a few clicks away.
Talking about khansama restaurant which is located inside ub city, vittal mallaya road, lavelle road,Bangalore which specializes in mughlai food, mainly kebabs and curries is a must go restaurant in Bangalore. Talking about the ambience at khansama! guys let me tell you that khansama rocks. I booked the table for six people through Hungryzone, and they gave the confirmation just few minutes after I placed the order. Their service is really superb and we don’t have to wait for the other person to pick up the call, on the contrary if the phone is engaged then there are many other restaurants available in Bangalore to choose from.
As soon as we entered khansama, bangalore, I was not surprised to see the ambience of the restaurant as mentioned by my friends. This restaurant gets good crowd on a weekday too, Thanks to all the IT companies in UB City and around. The dining hall was huge and noisy, but who cares. we make our own noise too..hehe... but to tell you the truth man khansama rocks..
Talking about the ambience alone at khansama you will feel like you have entered any palace. UB city has the all the taste man. To prove you that go and visit khansama at UB city. They will make you fell like maharajas and an inevitable experience of dinning like maharajas is worth paying at khansama, Bangalore.
Talking about the interiors at khansama, guys all those swords, lighting, huge pictures of maharajas on the walls will give you an experience of how kings and queens used to dine at that time. And guys I assure you of that at khansama.
Okay now comes the best point of khansama, i.e the Food
It was Saturday and the temperature outside was on a higher side. We ordered for mughlai kebabs and curry and also for the biryani. I am writing this and my mind is again planning for this weekend lunch at khansama..
The kebabs, chicken curry, drinks, has separate smoking zone, these are some of the features you will experience once you go to the khansama. The dessert which we ordered was good too. The copper metal cutlery would sure make you feel like a prince and queen..
But I can assure you please book your table well in advance at khansama in the weekends if you enjoy been in a noisy crowd, coz’ the place gets really very crowded with lots of noices from every side of khansama
Guys if you are looking for fine dine Go Go from my side to khansama at vittal mallya road, UB city, Bangalore ”

I had heard so much about khansama. So taking the advice from my frnds went there with my mom.The food they proudly call awadhi its no where near that...trust me i am from lucknow i know my food. Waiters were rude. While having soup the waiter quickly replaced the soup bowl in front with the main course plate. My mother and I were both shocked as to what happened. He didnt bother asking us whether we are done .Moreover, they overcharged us for the water. If the mrp reads 25 Rs u should charge us Rs 25 and not Rs 70.Places like airport etc which charge extra for the coke, water have specially printed MRP for them.I dont mind paying Rs 70 for bottled water but thats just plain swindling . Lastly, when the bill came i realized i have been charged 10 % service charge.I am very clear if the service charged has been added to the bill I will not tip.So after paying 2k for the obnoxious meal I was about to leave, but the waiter came back and said such a loud "thank you" for not tipping him that it could be heard 2 tables away.I think the place is best avoided. ”
