Sukka Mutton recipe

Exotic mutton Indian dish.
1/2 Kg. Mutton (small to medium pieces) cooked.
2 large onion, 1 diced and 1 onion sliced
1/2 cup freshly grated coconut
1/4 cup coriander leaves
5/6 garlic cloves
1/2 inch ginger
2-3 green chilies
1 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
1/2 tsp saunf (Fennel Seeds)
1/2 tsp futana dal ( also known as harbara or gram)
2 tbsp Oil
Salt to taste
Marinate the mutton:
Apply garlic and ginger paste to marinate the mutton for about and hour and then cook in the pressure cooker. Drain the mutton of the stock. No need to add the stock to this recipe.
Preparing the masala:
Add a small amount of oil to the pan.
Add the diced onion to the oil. Saute till golden brown and then set aside.
Then add grated coconut to the same pan and sauté till golden brown.
Now run through the mixer - sauted onion, grated coconut, green chilies, coriander leaves, garlic, ginger, garam masala, saunf and dal.
After the masala:
Add 2 tbsp oil in the pan and add sliced onion to the oil.
Once the onions turn golden brown add the masala to the pan. After the masala is done add the mutton to it and mix well. Let it simmer on medium heat for about 10 mins and it's ready to serve.
* Please note - The masala needs to be well done. (The best way to test that is ask someone in the other room if they can smell the masala).
